Stirr - a revolutionary innovation from üutensil

We wish you all a very prosperous New Year. We are starting our New Year with a Stir – a revolution in your pan! Our brand new product called “Stirr” – first launched in Lakeland in the autumn - is now available to all! Long live the revolution!

Stirr is an automatic self stirring device that gives you an extra hand with many cookery tasks. Especially when it comes to preparing sauces, custards or gravy,…forgot to stir for a few seconds and it all goes lumpy. Stirr takes over the tiresome stirring and with just a push of a button it will glides steadily around the pan base, and prevents a content sticking to the bottom of a pan while ensures even heat.

Stirr is operated by 4AA batteries (included). Üutensil’s new invention is heat and non-stick pan safe and its legs are dishwasher safe.

Here is how you can test the Stirr on Crème Brûlée recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

Serves 6

600 ml Double Cream
1 pod vanilla
3 Egg Yolks
3 _ oz. Caster Sugar
3 _ oz. Demerera Sugar

Put three-quarters of the double cream in a tall saucepan with the vanilla pod and bring to the boil. Mix the remaining cream well with the yolks and caster sugar and pour into the boiling cream. On a low heat place the Stirr in the pan (Speed 2) and wait until mixture thickens, but do not allow it to boil.

Turn the Stirr off and remove the mixture from the heat. Allow to cool.

Discard the vanilla pod, them pour into individual heatproof dishes and chill in the refrigerator until set. Sprinkle a layer of demerara sugar over the top of each dish and flash under a really hot grill so that the sugar caramelises quickly.

Chill again in the refrigerator before serving.
